We live in an age were the most shallow and easily digestible sounds redundantly pulse through our speakers in the background of our lives, and it is seldom questioned. We are in danger of forgetting how to be patient enough to attend to our inner, hidden vibrations among a noisy, distracting culture. Dark, strange, expressive music is significant because it can be a door to confronting the challenging aspects of our humanity in a healthy and cathartic manner. The artists who create this music tend to be unsung heroes, and it is my intention to help bring them to light. The Unlit Path will share music of both the past and present, focusing more on theme, mood and trajectory of the music rather than the genre or superficial label of any kind.
