On this episode of the Super Podcast of the West presented by Evergreen Speedway, we get to meet Ray Townsend, one of the creators of the Evergreen Speedway Back in the Day Facebook page. Along with Matt Somerville and others, Ray has combined his love of history, numbers and a race track in Monroe Washington and has absolutely found his calling in preserving the vast history that is Evergreen Speedway!
As we have made it abundantly clear throughout this series of podcasts, until there is a physical building that race fans can visit to find out about the past of not only "The Super Speedway of the West" but facilites long since turned into strip-malls and other such nonsense, people like Ray take it upon themselves to preserve the memories of events and racers to help make sure that they are not forgotten.
This won't be Ray Townsends last apperance on this show. He has to much to share to make this a one time thing!
