Nic grew up in Shropshire during the 80s when ILR ruled the airwaves. From the age of 8 she was completely obsessed with music and radio, spending hours in her room, under the bed sheets, constantly searching for new stations.
But unlike a lot of enthusiasts who pursued radio as a career and had early aspirations of presenting a show, Nic's first broadcasting opportunity didn’t come until she was in her forties.
She moved to Liverpool in 2007, where she became a prominent supporter of the local live music scene and in 2014 launched a gig listings service, which gained a high profile across the city. This led to the offer of her own show on a Merseyside station in 2015, which she hosted for a year before deciding that the commercial format and repetitive playlists just didn't suit her passion for 'real' radio and decent music!
To indulge her love of classic rock and pop, Nic continued to produce a regular podcast, but now much prefers to share her diverse music taste with you, on Radio Caroline, every Thursday morning.
When she's not messing about in her home studio, Nic also enjoys lots of live gigs, comedy, reading and healthy cooking. As a ‘proper’ job, she runs her own PR Agency and also delivers Radio Workshops to primary school children.
