The purpose of “Voices From Behind the Walls” is to introduce the listener to, and give voice to, the published works of authors incarcerated in prisons across the nation. Many of these eloquent writers have been locked away for forty years or more. A good percentage of them are political prisoners – caught up in the government’s COINTELPRO assaults against The Black Panther Party and other progressive organizations. Material will be selected by the KWTF program host, Elbert “Big Man” Howard, or a guest host, and excerpts read a chapter at a time as time permits.more
