Kevin Turner returns to the station after 27 years. Kevin got the radio bug listening to Caroline in the seventies, but by the time he was ready to take it up as a profession the demise of the Mi Amigo forced a bit of a rethink. He found a small station in Ireland willing to let him "have a go" and followed that with a spell on the Voice of Peace. Radio Nova in Italy and Radio Sovereign in London followed after that where he worked with Caroline engineer Mike Barrington, and it was Mike who suggested Kevin joined the ship in 1986. Last heard on Caroline in 1987 he's since worked for local radio in Southampton, Brighton, Salisbury, and Cheltenham before moving into television and running British Forces Broadcasting's BFBS2 channel for over 10 years. more
