I am a father of 4 with a love of science and learning. I have taught science at the 5th and 6th grade level for 15 years. My greatest goal as a teacher is help students become life-long learners. Many of my former students think I am weird. Still others do not know WHAT to think. I have a LOT of cool stuff around my room that I use in my lessons and also just for fun. This includes my snakes, birds, skulls, an indoor running river, a worm farm just t name a few.

I applied to be an Educator Astronaut in 2003. I was honored to be chosen as a finalist. Although I did not make it, I DID get to work for NASA for 2 years. It was a dream come true for me. I am still involved with the program and encourage kids to pursue their dreams.
