MR. KITE (Jimmy Hendrix)...

...begon reeds in de jaren zeventig de flower power te ontdekken. Vanaf de jaren '80 geeft hij zelf flower power feestjes in de Bovenzaal in Boortmeerbeek. Hij speelt er zelf de ganse nacht sixties - seventies muziek. Sinds die tijd is hij een gekende flower power dj in de scene.

DJ YELLOW GALACTIC SUN (Dries Van Hooydonck)...

... verzamelt sinds zijn zestiende sixties/seventies muziek. Hij leerde de dj-knepen van Mr. Kite en samen, op YGS' 21ste verjaardag in 2004, organiseerden ze Freakers Ball. Daar speelde YGS voor het eerst flower power voor publiek. Sindsdien speelt YGS regelmatig flower power op feestjes, festivals,...

In 2009 richt hij samen met Moonchild het feestconcept "Feed Your Head" op om meer flower power feestjes in Antwerpen te brengen.

Datzelfde jaar richt hij "flowerpowerforum.be" op om meer eenheid binnen de nog beperkte flower power scene te creëren en om iedereen de weg te tonen naar flower power fuiven, concerten, festivals,...

THE HURDIGURDY MEN

Met dit concept bundelen DJ YELLOW GALACTIC SUN en MR. KITE hun krachten om samen de dansvloeren te doen daveren op sixties/seventies melodieën zoals nooit tevoren. Verwacht u aan langvervlogen pareltjes, bekende hitjes, hard gitaargeweld, zachte ballades en meer lekkers!

...discovered flower power during the seventies from his older brother who listened to things like Led Zeppelin, The Who,..

Since the eighties he organizes flower power parties in "De bovenzaal" in Boortmeerbeek where he plays all night long. Since those days he is a well known flower power dj in the scene.

DJ YELLOW GALACTIC SUN...

...collects sixties/seventies music since he was sixtien. He learnt how to dj from Mr. Kite and together they organized Freakers Ball in 2004 on YGS' 21th birthday. At this party Dj YGS played flower power for an audience for the first time. Since then he played at several places.

In 2009 he starts the organization FEED YOUR HEAD together with Moonchild to bring more flower power parties in Antwerp.

The same year he creates www.flowerpowerforum.be to bring more unity in the rather small scene and to show everybody the way to the next flower power party, concert, festival,...
