As one of the original underground hip hop DJ's in Toronto, I consider myself very fortunate to make a living playing the music I play; mainly a combination of hip hop, r&b, reggae, funk, soul, old-school and jazz. As a full-time DJ/music producer for the last 8 years, gigs come and go, but I have always managed to stay busy. I have been apart of many successful weekly's, but currently play out 3 to 4 times a week, (which my wife would say is plenty). Footwork Tuesdays at "Levack Block" is Toronto's longest running Hip Hop, Funk, Soul & Old School night which I started in early 2000, Foundation Room on Thursday evenings, every third Friday of the month is my monthly Edumacation @ The Drake Underground & Do Right Saturday's at Supermarket. Radio has been on my resume since the late 90's, with shows on Chin & Project Bounce, and many guest spot's on CKLN. Currently "Stylistic Endeavors", Friday evenings from 8-10 on 89.5 CIUT is my 'on air' home, and has been for the last 8 years. As one half of the hip hop duo "Abdominal & DJ Fase", I graced the cover of Toronto's NOW magazine as we released our album "Flowtation Device" in 2001. Together Abs & I have toured across Canada and recently returned from gigs in Denmark, Sweden and two UK tours in 2007. I have opened for many local and international acts, such as The Roots, Africa Bambataa, The Original Jazzy Jay, De La Soul, NaS, k-os, Mos Def, M.O.P, John Legend, Jamiroquai, Black Eyed Peas (with Justin Timberlake), Blackalicious, Jurassic 5, DJ Jazzy Jeff, Prince Paul, Def Jux, PUTS, Del & Kool Keith to name a few. 'NOW' magazine gave me the honor of TORONTO'S #1 DJ in the BEST of 2004 issue, which was a nice surprise after being runner-up in both Toronto's EYE and NOW weekly's in 01' & 02'. Currently I am working on a solo album that will feature a wide range of artists, both Canadian and American. I produced 3 songs on Abdominal's solo album "Escape From The Pigeon Hole" and nearing completion of "The Worldwide Side Project" Album, a full length record with Toronto MC Theology 3. In April of 2006 I joined the Urban Noise workshop to teach DJ'ing to high school kids at the Elmbank Community Center in Rexdale. I truely enjoyed teaching and returned with a whole new class in April of 07' and May 08'. As a DJ/producer my main focus is making and playing music that I love. As well as passing on the knowledge and experience I have gained since first steping behind a set of turntables 15 years ago.
