"DiJitaL's style is hard to define. Sometimes super cool, often uber daggy. The music he plays is eclectic and drawn from a lifetime studying, writing and playing music. His sets will make you grin, will make you wiggle your butt, will sometimes bring tears to your eyes at the sheer beauty of sound. A night with DiJitaL will ground you firmly in the moment while taking you on a fabulous journey.
DiJitaL started writing synth pop at the vulnerable age of 16 with a Korg Poly 800. After much bedroom heart pouring interspersed with furious masturbation, Dijital started a long and varied life of performing including a 4 year stint as keyboard player and vocalist for the band "Liberty Theater". After DJing in many venues, some that aren't around anymore like - The Redhead, The Church, Sunset Strip and the cocktail bar at Heat, and some that are- Q-bar, Candy Bar, DeBiers, Next Blue, Evolution, The Murcat Cross and contributing to various compilations and much stage work he combined with Cameron Deny for a fruitful period of house/dance before going the solo path of the spiritual warrior and composing his most ground breaking material while living as a Buddhist monk in St Kilda. Filling the role of production manager at Kiss FM and then overseeing the Launch of Kiss FM's Melbourne Medium Rare Vol. 1 on which appeared one of his tracks, Dijital came to realize the future path of his music - "Melbourne Style"- Beefy and sexual, precise and effortless, with the influences of Jazz and hiphop.
DiJitaL currently Dj's at BlueBar330 on Chapel Street on a Monday night playing a mixture of electro and soul while composing for film and contemporary dance artists and working on future performance pieces."
